Warranty & protection

Drive off protected.

A used car is a big decision, and the repair bill you didn't plan for is what makes people regret one. We offer service contracts and protection products on most vehicles in stock β€” so a transmission or an A/C compressor becomes a phone call instead of a crisis.

One unexpected breakdown can cost more than years of coverage.

A transmission replacement runs into the thousands. So does an engine, a hybrid battery pack, or a modern A/C system. An extended service contract turns that from a number that wrecks your month into a deductible. We'll tell you honestly whether a given car is worth covering β€” on some of our cheaper cars we'll tell you to skip it and keep the cash.

Protection products

Cover the gaps a warranty doesn't.

A service contract fixes what breaks. These cover the other ways a car costs you money.

πŸ›Ÿ

GAP coverage

If your car is totaled or stolen, insurance pays what it's worth β€” not what you still owe. GAP pays the difference so you're not making payments on a car you no longer have.

Worth it when: you financed with little money down, or on a longer term.
πŸ›’οΈ

Prepaid maintenance

Lock in your oil changes, filters, rotations and inspections at today's price. Prepay once and routine service is handled for the life of the plan at our Kent shop.

Worth it when: you drive a lot of miles, or you want the budget fixed and predictable.
πŸ›ž

Tire & wheel protection

Northwest roads are hard on tires. Covers repair or replacement from road hazards β€” potholes, nails, glass β€” including mounting and balancing.

Worth it when: the car has low-profile tires or larger alloy wheels.
πŸ”‘

Key replacement

A modern smart key with programming can run several hundred dollars. This covers replacing lost, stolen or damaged keys and fobs.

Worth it when: the car uses push-button start or a proximity fob.
✨

Appearance protection

Paint, fabric and leather protection, plus dent and windshield chip repair β€” the small cosmetic damage that quietly eats your trade-in value.

Worth it when: you plan to trade the car back in within a few years.

Roadside assistance

Towing, jump starts, lockout service, flat tire changes and fuel delivery, 24 hours a day β€” included with every service contract we write.

Included: with all four coverage levels above.
Straight answers

What people actually ask us.

Do I have to buy coverage to buy the car?

No. Never. It's optional on every vehicle we sell, it isn't required for financing, and your price and approval don't change either way. If we think a plan is a bad deal on a particular car, we'll tell you that ourselves.

Can I use my own mechanic?

Yes. Repairs can be done at our shop in Kent or at any licensed repair facility in the country. Your shop calls the administrator, gets the repair authorized, and bills them directly.

What does it cost?

It depends on the vehicle, its mileage, the level you choose, and the deductible. That's why there are no prices on this page β€” a plan on a 2018 Audi Q5 and a plan on a 2008 Sienna aren't the same product. Ask us about a specific car and we'll give you the real number.

Can I add it after I buy the car?

Usually yes, within a limited window and depending on the vehicle's mileage β€” but coverage is cheaper and easier to arrange at the time of sale, and it can be rolled into your financing then.

What if I sell the car or pay it off early?

Most contracts are transferable to a private buyer, which is a real selling point when you list it. If you cancel early you're generally refunded the unused portion. The exact terms are in your contract β€” ask us to walk you through that section before you sign.

Is this the same as the factory warranty?

No. Some of our newer vehicles still have factory coverage remaining, which transfers to you at no cost. These are separate service contracts that either extend beyond that or cover a vehicle whose factory warranty has already expired. We'll tell you what's still on your car before you decide.

Pick a level and anything else you want priced. We'll come back with the real number on your vehicle β€” and we'll tell you if we think a plan isn't worth it on that car.

Roadside is already included with all four coverage levels β€” tick it only if you want it on its own.

Mileage drives eligibility and price more than anything else.

Vehicle service contracts and protection products are optional and are not required to purchase a vehicle or to obtain financing. Coverage, eligibility, deductibles, exclusions and pricing vary by vehicle, mileage, plan level and administrator, and not every vehicle qualifies for every plan. The descriptions on this page are general summaries for information only and are not a contract. Your actual coverage is governed solely by the terms, conditions and exclusions of the contract you receive β€” please read it in full before you sign, and ask us about anything that isn't clear.
