Home › First-time car buyer
Kent, Washington

Your first car, with no credit history.

Never borrowed before? That's a blank page, not a bad mark. If you have steady income, we'll start with your job and work out the rest with you.

New to credit

No credit history is not the same as bad credit.

Having no credit history means there is nothing on file yet. Bad credit means there is a history lenders read badly. We finance both, along with good and fair credit: every tier, with steady income counting more than a score. Our motto is the shortest way to say it: your job is your credit.

Apply in two minutes

Your name, phone, and roughly where your credit sits — "none yet" is a fair answer. No Social Security number on that page.

Pick a car you can see

Every car on our lot has its own page with photos, specs, and a payment estimator, so you can look before you call.

Hear your real number

A person from our finance desk calls with what you're approved for. Then you decide.

Buying smart

Things a first-time buyer should know up front.

Service contracts are optionalNever required to buy a car or get financed, and your price and approval don't change either way. If a plan is a bad deal on a particular car, we'll tell you. Read how they work.
Ask for the vehicle historyEach car page says whether a Carfax report is on file. If it isn't, ask and we'll pull the history for that VIN before your visit.
Payment estimates are estimatesThe calculator on every car page uses your down payment, term and credit tier. It is for illustration, not an offer of credit; your approval gives the real figure.
Your trade can be your down paymentIf you have a car to trade, its equity goes straight onto your down payment. Find out what yours is worth.

Start with two minutes online.

Or call the lot and we'll walk you through it on the phone in about five minutes. Open Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM.

Financing on approved credit (O.A.C.). Approval, rate and terms depend on the lender and your situation; nothing on this page is a promise of credit. Cars shown are subject to prior sale; advertised prices exclude tax, title, license and registration fees, and a negotiable documentary service fee.

Straight answers

First-time buyer questions.

Is "no credit" the same as "bad credit"?

No. No credit means you have no borrowing history yet; bad credit means there is a history that lenders read badly. We work with both, plus good and fair credit.

Do I have to buy a service contract?

No. Service contracts are optional on every vehicle we sell, are not required for financing, and your price and approval do not change either way. More about protection products.

What is GAP and do I need it?

If a financed car is totaled or stolen, insurance pays what the car was worth, which can be less than you still owe. GAP pays the difference. It is most useful when you financed with little down or over a longer term. It is optional.

How do I know what I can afford?

Every car page has a payment estimator with down payment, term and credit-tier sliders. It is an estimate for illustration only. Our finance desk gives you the real number after you apply.

Can you look at a car for me before I decide?

Our shop does pre-purchase inspections in-house, and we service all makes and models, not just cars we sold. See our service page.
